ALIGN-T1D Expressions of Interest

ALIGN-T1D is inviting selected Ministries of Health to express interest in a partnership to strengthen equitable, sustainable type 1 diabetes care through integrated NCD approaches.

This EOI aims to identify countries ready to co-design practical, country-led solutions that improve access, quality, and long-term health outcomes for people with type 1 diabetes.

Who Should Apply

Submissions must be led or formally endorsed by the Ministry of Health. This EOI is currently open to select low- and middle-income countries invited by the ALIGN-T1D Secretariat.

Eligible countries in this call for EOIs are: Bangladesh, Kenya, Philippines, Benin, Morocco, Tanzania, Cambodia, Nigeria, Zambia, Ghana, Peru.

The EOI is non-binding and serves as the first step in identifying countries best positioned for partnership. Selected countries will be invited to develop a more detailed proposal.

  • Well-qualified applicants will demonstrate:
  • Significant unmet T1D need and equity gaps
  • Strong government ownership and commitment to long‑term sustainability
  • Strategic alignment with national health and NCD plans
  • A diverse and inclusive partner ecosystem
